How to choose a safety helmet?

1. Buy famous brand products with certificate, trademark, factory name, factory address, production date, specification, model, standard code, production license number, product name, complete logo, neat printing, clear pattern, clean appearance and high reputation.

Second, the helmet can be weighed. The national standard GB811–2010 for motorcycle occupant helmets stipulates that the weight of the full helmet is not more than 1.60kg; the weight of the half helmet is not more than 1.00kg. In the case of meeting the standard requirements, generally heavier helmets are of better quality.

3. Check the length of the lace connector. The standard requires that it should not exceed 3mm on the inner and outer surfaces of the shell. If it is riveted by rivets, it can generally be achieved, and the process performance is also good; if it is connected by screws, it is generally difficult to achieve, it is best not to use it.

Fourth, check the strength of the wearing device. Correctly fasten the lace according to the requirements of the manual, fasten the buckle, and pull it hard.

5. If the helmet is equipped with goggles (full helmet must be equipped), its quality should be checked. First of all, there should be no appearance defects such as cracks and scratches. Secondly, the lens itself must not be colored, it should be a colorless and transparent polycarbonate (PC) lens. Plexiglass lenses are never used.

6. Press the inner buffer layer of the helmet hard with your fist, there should be a slight rebound feeling, neither hard, nor out of pits or slag.
